Photos
Upload photos from your computer or mobile device, either one at a time or multiple at once. Add captions when you upload them or wait till later. Pictures of people and places, or even scanned documents make great memories. If you have multiple photos on the same topic, you may want to combine them into a Story to keep them together.

Who can see my memories?

Memory pages can be shared by anyone using a simple link. Anyone visiting the page can see the memory page, but when you add a memory, you can also choose the privacy level of the memory shared. You have two options when saving your memory (and can adjust your setting at any time):
1) Visible to Everyone
By default, a new memory you add is set to “Visible to Everyone.” Meaning anyone who visits the memory page can see your memory.
2) Signed Guests Only
When you add a memory, you have the option to set visibility to “Signed Guests Only.” Meaning only those who have signed the page can see the memory.
Blocked guests & memories
Additionally, the moderators for a memory page can block individual guests and memories from view if needed.
Can I make my memories private?
Yes!
When you add a memory, you have the option to set visibility to “Signed Guests Only.” Meaning only those who have signed the page can see the memory.
Why can't I add memories or comments?

There are a few possible reasons you may be unable to add memories or comments:
We Remember website may need to be refreshed
There may simply be an error in loading the screen. Try reloading the screen or visiting the memory page using a different internet browser.
You may have been logged out
You need to be logged in to a memory page in order to add memories or comments. If you’re not logged in, try signing the page or logging into the site.
The memory page might be set to "Closed"
The moderators of a memory page can set the page to “Closed.” This means that only the moderators are able to add memories and comments. If this is the case, there should be an indication at the bottom of the screen.
You may have been blocked
If needed, the moderators of a memory page can block a guest so that they are unable to post memories and comments. If you have been blocked you will see a message indicating this on the main screen. You can contact the owner of the memory page to try and resolve this issue.

Managing a We Remember Page
How do I choose who can add content?
Content Settings
If you are the moderator of a memory page, you can choose who can add memories and comments to the memory page. These options are set individually for each memory page. If you are a moderator, click "Page Settings" in the lower right corner and then choose “Privacy & Content Settings” from the menu. These are the options available to you.
"Open"
Anyone can sign the page and post memories, as well as decide if their memories are visible to everyone or just signed-in guests. Moderators can block guests or hide inappropriate posts.
"Approval Required"
Anyone can sign the page and add a memory. However, moderators must review and approve content before it is posted, and can block guests if necessary.
"Closed"
Although guests may view memories and comments, only moderators can post content. To gather more memories about your loved one, while still maintaining control, we recommend the Approval Required option.
Can I make my memory page private?

Memory pages are generally public, in that the memory page can be shared by anyone with a simple link and anyone visiting the page can see the memory page. You do have some privacy options, though.
Content Settings
If you are the moderator of a memory page, you can choose who can add memories and comments to the memory page. These options are set individually for each memory page. If you are a moderator, click "Page Settings" in the lower right corner and then choose “Privacy & Content Settings” from the menu.
Choosing who can view individual memories
When you or another guest adds a memory, you have the option to set visibility to “Signed Guests Only.” That means that only those who have signed the page can see the memory.
Blocking memories and guests
As the moderator of a memory page, if there are inappropriate memories or comments added to the memory page, you can block them (just look for the “Block” option on the memory or comment). If anyone you don’t want signs the page, you can also block them.
How do I block guests or content?
Blocking memories
As the moderator of a memory page, if you notice a memory with inappropriate content you can block it. Just click the “Block” option on the memory (across from the “Like” button) and it will be hidden from other guests. If you change your mind, just click “Unblock.”

Changed your mind? Go back and click “Unblock” and all of their privileges will be restored.
How do I handle reported content?
Review the content, then Approve or Block
When a guest reports a memory or comment, we hide that content immediately and send all moderators an email. Click the link in the email to visit the reported memory or comment and select either “Approve” to show the content again, or “Block” to keep it hidden.
Reported memories also show up in the memory cards on the home page. They appear dimmed, with a flag icon. Just click them to review.
How does privacy work for the We Remember page of a living person?

For greater privacy, We Remember pages about living people can only be reached directly with a link. They aren’t available to search from We Remember. Also, birth years are not made visible.
How do I make a guest into a moderator?
Select "Moderator" from a profile view
To designate a moderator, click their picture in Family & Friends section to access their profile, then check “Moderator.” Changed your mind? Simply un-check the Moderator option and they go back to being a regular guest.
How do I delete a We Remember page?

It is important to note that a page may only be deleted if no others have added memories. Also, if it is a concern over privacy, please consider adjusting those controls by visiting the Privacy & Content settings before going through with the delete process. Privacy & Content settings can be found by visiting the page you would like to adjust, clicking your name in the upper right hand corner, and then selecting Privacy & Content settings.
To delete a memory page you have created, first, click “Page Settings” in the lower right corner. Then select “Delete Page.” Please help us understand the reason you are deleting by choosing a reason and offering some additional insight. Lastly, we will require you enter your password before completely deleting. Deleting a page is final, so please do not rush this decision.
A memory page was created for a loved one of mine and I don't know how?

First, we suggest you reach out to people you recognize in the Friends and Family section to see if someone has created the page. Second, if the Friends and Family section is empty we suggest scrolling to the bottom of the page to view the “Brought to you by” section to see if the page was created as a benefit to you and your family from an organization you are affiliated with… perhaps a funeral home, hospice, or non-profit organization. If so, reach out to that entity directly. If you still don’t know, feel free to reach out to us at support@weremember.com.
Why is a location needed when creating a memory page?

Due to the volume of pages created, We Remember often has multiple pages of people sharing the same name. The location offers those who would like to find the page of a loved one an additional data point by which to determine the correct page.
