Zofia Tanska Kaczmarczyk, loving mother and babci, 65, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 25, 1956, in Myszyniec, Poland. Zofia met the love of her life, Kazimierz, at a zabawa (party) as a teen. Their love quickly blossomed and at the age of 18 they married and moved to the United States to begin their life together. She lived in New Haven for many years before moving to Meriden, where she spent her last 35 years and worked as a CNA at Miller Memorial Community for over 20 years. Zofia loved spending time with her family, attending family gatherings, watching tennis, animals, crossword puzzles, gardening, and a big juicy lobster. She especially loved her grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them. Zofia was known for her light-hearted spirit, loving and kind nature. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marianna (Sadlowska) Tanska, father, Stefan Tanski, her husband, Kazimierz Kaczmarczyk and four siblngs. Zofia is survived by her three children: John Kaczmarczyk and his wife, Nicole, of Bristol; Casey Kaczmarczyk and his fianc?, Cassandra Ryle, of Litchfield; and Michele Pierce and her husband, Jared, of Southbury; and four grandchildren: Julianna, Austin, Avina, and Emersyn. Also survived by three siblings, Krystyna Sulewski, Stefan Tanski, and Janek Tanski and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7pm in the Lupinski Funeral Home, Inc., 821 State Street, New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church Thursday at 11am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
