It is with deep sadness that the family of Zoe Ann Palmer announces her passing. Zoe Ann peacefully passed away on March 7, 2025 after a life richly lived in service and kindness. Her selfless dedication to enriching the lives of others has created a lasting impact that will continue to inspire us all.
She was predeceased in death by her parents Shelby and Ethel (Doten) Palmer, brother Neil Palmer, and sister Ruth Coleman.
Zoe Ann made a profound impact by sharing her passion for learning with many and inspiring minds as a dedicated teacher-librarian in Frankfurt and Ulm, Germany, at the Department of Army Dependent Schools. Upon her return from Germany, Zoe Ann worked as a librarian in the Orono School District until her retirement. Zoe Ann went on to volunteer for 17 1/2 years for Presbyterian Pan American in Kingsville, Texas, Sitka College in Alaska, Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, and Manual School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a resident of Presbyterian Homes in Spring Park for 26 years. She loved living on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, where she started the library early on in her residency at Presbyterian Homes.
The funeral service is at 1 pm on Saturday, April 12th, at 1st Presbyterian Church, Maple Pain. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the 1st Presbyterian Church of Maple Plain, 558 County Road 110, Maple Plain, MN 55359, or Presbyterian Homes in Spring Park, 4515 Shoreline Dr., Spring Park, MN 55384.
