He was later adopted by his brother Trinidad Lopez and his sister-in-law Joesphine after the passing of his parents at a young age. Zenon viewed Josephine as his mother, and all 12 of her children his siblings. He enjoyed his childhood and loved helping care for his younger siblings. In 1961, Zenon bravely joined the US Army and traveled the world, eventually stationing in Germany. Upon returning from the military, he reconnected with the love of his life Pina and went on to get married on March 1, 1965. Soon after starting their family with the birth of their first daughter, they relocated to Muleshoe, TX, where they had their second daughter and twin boys. Zenon developed many skills and talents that he applied to his work as a welder, a builder, maintenance technician, and many other occupations. He was not only a jack of all trades but a master of them all, passing on his expertise to his children and grandchildren. Zenon ultimately moved his family to Canyon, TX in 1993. Always a loving husband and caring father, Zenon spent his time doing what he loved most, helping his family with whatever they needed. He knew no strangers, befriending anyone he encountered.
