Zbigniew Kilian, 87, of Berlin, beloved husband of Ann (Muzyka) Kilian, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home. Born in Lwow, Poland, he immigrated to the United States as a teenager. He served this country honorably in the US Army, and settled in Berlin. Zbigniew was an electrician by trade, working for Ingersoll Rand (Fafnir) for many years before retiring.
He was a long time member of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Zbigniew was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Ann, he was survived by his daughter, Donna Cronin and son-in-law Robert Cronin of Granby; daughter Marie Miller and son-in-law Jamie Miller of Palm Bay, FL; his grandchildren, Robert Darling, Emily Cronin and Hannah Cronin. He is also survived by his sister Josephine Yanchak and brother-in-law Walter Yanchak, as well as and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Julia Wiszniak, Stanley Kilian, Walter Kilian, Michalina Sokolowski and Janina Patykowski.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 18th at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 3:00PM-6:00PM at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 322 Burritt St., New Britain.
