Zaid, at the age of 20, passed away on October 24, 2023 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He graduated as a valedictorian of the 2021 class of Stanwood High School and attended one year at George Fox University. Zaid had a remarkable life, and was well known in the community for his academic success and musical talent.
