Yvonne Blair Webb passed away peacefully Friday, July 22, 2022 at the age of 83 in Georgetown, Texas. She was born on May 6, 1939 in Fluvanna, Texas to R.D. and Dovie Blair and was the oldest of seven siblings.
Yvonne and Frank married September 26, 1955 in Seagraves, Texas. They lived in various places throughout their marriage, including Venezuela, Malta, Brownfield, Texas, Marble Falls, Texas, and Burnet, Texas. They opened The Highlander Restaurant in Burnet, Texas in 1991. Yvonne retired and passed the restaurant to her daughter, Teresa Van Brocklin in 2005.
Yvonne first and foremost loved being a Mom to her kids and a Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and many of her treasured recipes are still being cooked at The Highlander Restaurant today. She believed in being presentable at all times and up to a month before her passing, would not leave the house without her hair done, makeup on, and jewelry in place...even while in the hospital, she was asking for her lipstick and curling iron. Yvonne loved painting, drawing, collecting jewelry, shopping, and antiquing. She also loved traveling with her daughter, Teresa, granddaughter, Alyxandra, and grandson, Cole which included traveling to many areas in Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. Yvonne was passionate about her walk with God and worshiping with her church family.
She is survived by her son, Stacy Webb and wife Misti, daughter, Teresa Van Brocklin, grandchildren, Chris Webb and wife Lezley, Cherylann Webb, Cole Van Brocklin, and Alyxandra Van Brocklin, great-grandchildren, Kimber, Elise, Kinsley, Elijah, Mikah, and Kingston, brother, Charles Blair and wife Amy, sister, Linda Tumlinson, brother, Jim Blair, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and her faithful dog who was by her side until the end, Stella.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Webb, son, Terry Webb, parents, R.D. and Dovie Blair, brother, Sonny Blair, sister, Kay Bohanan, and brother, Danny Blair.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:00am at Venture Church (624 CR 250, Burnet, Texas) with a graveside service to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery (530 CR 270, Bertram, Texas).
