Wladyslawa Majocha Buczek, 92 of Farmville, VA passed away on November 20, 2024. She was born in Poland on September 6, 1932 to the late Jan Majocha and Anna Galaska Majocha. She and her husband Zenon Buczek met while she was in a dance troupe and he was being forced by Russian to dismantle factories in Germany. They came to the United States to escape in 1966. She worked as an inspector for Smith & Wesson gun manufacturing and raised her two sons here. She was known for her great kindness, cooking and was known to "slide a little cash" to her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Marian Majocha, 2 sisters Teofilia Laskowska and Janina Karas. She is survived by her two sons Alfred Buczek (Elizabeth), Robert Buczek (Diane), 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM with a memorial at 7:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home.
