of Largo, Florida passed away on August 23, 2022. She was 100 years old. Wini was born on August 1, 1922 in Richmond, New York to Otto and Mildred Altenburg. She graduated from Hempstead High School and soon married Anthony "Tony" Mizzoni. Eventually the pair moved to St. Petersburg Florida where Wini enjoyed volunteering at the Bay Pines Veterans Association and became an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. After Tony's passing, Wini moved to the Palms of Largo where she lived for over 20 years. While at Royal Palms, Wini held many roles including President of the Resident's Board and countless other volunteer positions. She especially enjoyed visiting residents, reading to them or sitting bedside sharing stories. Wini was fiercely independent, yet a loving and faithful friend. She could often be seen welcoming new residents to Royal Palms making sure others felt at home in the community she loved. Her constant smile and blue eyes will be remembered by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her husband, Tony, her siblings Ruth and Arthur and her sons Michael and AJ. Wini is survived by her grand-daughter Michelle Huffman (Justin), great-grandson Jamison Huffman and several nieces and nephews.
