Wilma Faye Fry of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 85. She was born December 1, 1935 in Missouri to the late Horace and Glenna (Pharr) Williams. Wilma worked as a bookkeeper at her husband's cotton gin as well as being a fulltime homemaker. She married Dan Truitt Fry in April of 1954 in Petersburg. Wilma enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, but was best known as the "Queen of Laughlin" where she enjoyed gambling and slot machines. She was a great mom and nanny.
Those left to cherish her memory are children, Deeann Marsh, Roxanne Blasor and husband Kevan, Danny Fry and Randy Fry; grandchildren, Heather Winbourn, Brooke Willis, Tyler Fry, Kylie Fry and Jeremy Marsh; and great-grandchildren, Addie Jo, Porter and Josie Winbourn, Evie Cox, and Dani Rae Sanchez; brother, Jimmy Williams; sisters, Colline Rhodes, Sarah Anderson, Debra Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Glenna Williams; husband, Dan Fry; brother, Gene Williams and sisters, Margaret Ward and Jo Willis.
Visitation will be 1:00-8:00p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends 5:00-7:00p.m. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Combest Family Memorial Chapel in Lubbock with interment to follow at Petersburg Cemetery.
