Wilma (Willie) Blackmon Joiner Sukert, 92, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2021, in Scottsdale, AZ, with her daughters Sandy Jeansonne and Pamela Fox by her side. Born in 1928 to Benjamin D. Blackmon and Minnie Keel Blackmon in Leesville, LA, she was the 6th child in a blended family of 8 children. Willie spent her early adult years as an Air Force wife, a mother, and champion bowler; later working in property management. She was a lover of dogs, crosswords, dominos, country dancing and family reunions. Known for her quick wit and big heart she was a well-loved lady. Willie is preceded in death by her parents, her older siblings; Howard Blackmon, Joy Meads, Coy Stevison, James Stevison and Alice Babineaux, and her first husband Charles R. Joiner. In addition to her 2 daughters, Willie is survived by her younger sister Darlene Muirhead Roberts, and brother Ben Blackmon, sons-in-law Jerry Jeansonne and Jim May, grandchildren Tim Jeansonne and Teri Jeansonne Macias, great grandchildren Nico Macias and Gabi Macias and a plethora of nieces and nephews. Visitation: Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor - 1750 Hwy 12, Vidor, TX , Weds. June 9, 2021 - 5:00pm/family, 6:00pm/public Funeral Service: Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor Thurs. June 10, 2021 - 2pm Flowers may be sent to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, or, in lieu of flowers, a donation made in Willie's name to your local ASPCA.
