Wilma E. Keehr, 95 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday. April 24, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Brandon Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in the Freedhem Lutheran Cemetery in Freedhem, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 and from 10-11 A.M. on Thursday, all at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Caring for Wilma and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN.
Wilma was born on October 25, 1929, in Edgeley, ND, to the late William and Emma (Lenz) Schulz. She grew up in the country near Edgeley, where she attended and graduated from Monango High School in 1947. Wilma went on to obtain her teaching degree in Ellendale, ND. After completing her degree, she taught country school from 1947 until 1950 in Lehr, Monango, and Edgeley, ND. She was united in marriage to Lester Keehr in August 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. The couple lived in Platte Township until 1957, and later moved to Ripley Township, where they farmed. Wilma remained on the family farm until her passing. Wilma was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls and took great pride in her farm, especially the farm-fresh eggs and animals she raised and sold. Her greatest joy, however, was her large and loving family, including her extended family. No one ever left her home hungry. Wilma was an exceptional cook, known for her warm hospitality and hearty meals. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by sons, David (Sharon) Keehr of Little Falls, MN, Darvin (Beady) Keehr of Little Falls, MN, Jerry (Rosie) Keehr of Little Falls, MN, Daryl "Charlie" (Val) Keehr of Little Falls, MN, Dale (Erin) Keehr of Little Falls, MN, Jeff Keehr of Little Falls, MN and; daughters, Donna (Jerry) Martinson of Little Falls, MN, Katie (Kevin) Plante of Little Falls, MN, Sandy (Joe) Schilling of Fort Ripley, MN, Cindy (Kenny) Welle of Little Falls, MN, JoAnn (Joe) Nieman of Little Falls, MN and Kris (Steve) Lochner of Pierz, MN; 35 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by parents, William and Emma Schulz; husband, Lester Keehr (2005); 8 siblings; grandchildren, Tony Schilling and Gina Virnig.
