Graveside services for Wilma Nell Jordan, 86, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin with Pastor Charles Robert officiating.
Mrs. Jordan was born on August 22, 1938, in Angelina County, Texas, to the late Emil Jones Sr. and Bonnie (Baker) Jones and died Sunday, October 27, 2024, in South Lake surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Jordan Graduated from Hudson High School in 1956 where she was a cheerleader and thrived in her academics. Wilma married her best friend Vernon "Hoople" Jordan and was married for 62 years. They had four children and resided in Lufkin, Texas. Wilma had a big heart for helping those in need. Wilma enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, playing tennis, playing cards, playing the piano, and hosting friends. She was a friend to all and had a special bond to all she loved. Wilma's greatest accomplishment is her family and being called Mimi. Mrs. Jordan was an excellent Mother and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Billy Wicker of Colleyville, TX; son, Mart Jordan of Keller, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Taylor and Adrianna Jordan of Colleyville, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Bridgette and Wes Norwood of Colleyville, TX; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha Mayes of Lufkin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Veron "Hoople" Jordan; her son, grandson, parents, and brother.
