Wilma Rose Schlenz Fisher, age 98, graduated from this life to her eternal home in Heaven on December 27, 2020. She was born August 8, 1922 to John George and Hattie Freymiller Schlenz.
In addition to her parents, Wilma is also preceded in death by stepmother, Mable Ann Jones Schlenz; beloved aunt Dora "Dawney" Schlenz; great aunt, Suzanna Schlenz Dietz; her husband of 63 years, Glenn W. Fisher in 2003; daughter, Mary Ann Fisher Mochon Davis in 2006; elder sister, Pauline Marie Salser (Everette); younger sister, Io Jacqueline Kirkwood (Jim); brother, Robert Schlenz (Donna), and younger stepsister, JoAnn Schlenz McCowen (Herb). She is survived by her elder daughter, Nancy Lee Fisher Cross Landers (Clayton); son, Donald Glenn Fisher (Beverly); son-in-law, Mike Davis (Debbie); grandchildren, David K. Cross (Heather), Donald A Cross (Shara), Glenn Mochon, Julie Ann Mochon (Ron Melusky), Dustin Fisher (Kaley Rea), Katie Dawn Fisher (Jason Huth); great grandchildren, Emmalee Cross, Bennett Melusky, Grandon Fisher, Amethyst Fisher; sister-in-law, Dorothy Fisher Furgason, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma spent her first 93 years in the farming community of Preston, KS. She was a generous and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her life's passion was being a superb homemaker, and cook. Wilma was an avid gardener, and farmer, tirelessly working to improve her home, farm, church, and community. Her final 5 years were spent in Kingston, TN, making many new friends and enjoying the trees, mountains, lakes and birds of the region.
Due to Covid-19, services will be held later.
