Wilma Irene Dailey, age 87, of Richmond Dale, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, December 9, 2021, after an extensive battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born December 11, 1933 in Stockdale, Ohio to the late Raymond and Grace (Fairchild) Preston. Wilma was a former employee of Carroll's Potato Chips and the Children's Clothier, both in Chillicothe, and she also worked for the Board of Elections. Wilma enjoyed shopping, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Joyous and precious time was spent in her latter years with her grandsons, Ryan, Preston and Parker, and her great-grandson, Rylan. To be around Wilma was to be around laughter and food. She lit up a room with her smile and jokes. In her own words, she said she hoped that the ones she loved get to experience half the things she experienced in her life. Most importantly, Wilma had a close relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard Dale Dailey, whom she married in July of 1967; her 4 sons, Roger Skeens (Eylane), Mike Skeens (Patty), Kim Skeens (Robin) and Jayme Dailey (Stacie); step-children, Richard Dailey, Jr. and Kimberly Dailey; sisters, Jeanette Kiefer, Betty Wiles and Patty Brown; along with 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Vanhoose, and infant sister, Lillian Jane Preston. The family would like to give special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their years of commitment and care to Wilma. Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, December 14th, at 11 a.m. at Little Mound Cemetery in Richmond Dale with Pastor John Evans II officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
