Wilma Mae (Ritchie) Buck 84, of Marietta, passed away on October 13, 2020. She was born in Fremont, Nebraska to William Van Duyn "Van" and Florence Ida (Gaeth) Ritchie. When she was a young child, the family moved to a farm near Grand River, Iowa. At age 11, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Throughout her life, she served as a deacon, taught Sunday School, and participated in numerous volunteer activities. She was a charter member of the Ray-Thomas Memorial Presbyterian Church in Marietta.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking (Sunday dinners were her specialty), baking (her cinnamon rolls were legendary), gardening (especially roses), square dancing and traveling, and she was a loyal Atlanta Braves fan.
Preceding her in death were her parents, brother William Ritchie, sister Marie Watson, and grandson-in-law, Zachary McTyre.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Merritt D. Buck, son Mark (Jill) Buck, daughter Pam (David) Anderson, grandchildren: Jeremiah (Emily) Buck, Addie McTyre, Douglas & Thomas Anderson; great-grandsons, Jacob & Samuel Buck and Wesley McTyre; and a sister Phyllis (Albert) Hewlett.
She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
