Willis Mark Thompson was born August 11, 1961 in Lafayette, IN to Burnett Mark Thompson and Glenora Mann. He joined sister Evelyn Coleman and brothers Larry and Fred Coleman, becoming the youngest sibling. He was raised and educated in Lafayette where he was a member of Second Baptist Church and later Universal Deliverance Church. He graduated from Jefferson High School with the class of 1980. On August 30, 1986 he married the love of his life, Angelia Dianne Kennedy within Second Baptist Church before pews filled with cherished family and friends. This beautiful union raised five children: Willis Mark II, Michael J Burnett "MJ", Anthony Diangelo, Alexander (Ashlyn Cawthon) Thompson and MaQuinn Evan Thompson. He also was a proud grandfather to Anthony Lee Thompson. Mark peacefully departed this life at the age of 60 years on Tuesday July 05, 2022 in Lafayette, IN after enjoying the company of many family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday July 15, 2022 from 5-8:00 pm at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
