William Aleyn Sundquist of Dewitt, MI was born in Muskegon, Michigan on January 19, 1932 and passed away peacefully on April 9, 2020 at the age of 88. Bill had a generous and easygoing spirit. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Western Michigan University in 1961 and his Law Degree from Detroit College of Law in 1967. Bill enjoyed commodities trading. He most enjoyed the several trips he took to Iowa to attend seminars to learn trading strategies while making new friends. In 1952, he was named Mr. Western Michigan Body Builder and while growing up in Muskegon he enjoyed playing the piano and spending summers at the lake. Claire, his loving wife of 51 years, was always there for Bill as they raised their daughters together.
In 1977, he began his career with the State of Michigan as an Administrative Law Judge for the Department of Health and Human Services, until he retired in 2015. His retirement years were spent relaxing along the waterside at Spring Lake, Michigan and spending time with his daughters. Bill shared a special bond with each of his daughters; with Felecia it was their love for commodities trading and with Linda it was relaxing at her waterfront home. Bill also enjoyed discussions with his favorite and only brother, Butchie.
He is survived by his two daughters, Felecia Sundquist of Dewitt, MI and Linda Onufry (Dave) of Davison, MI, his brother Butch Sundquist (Rene) of Muskegon, MI and two nephews. Preceding him in death are his wife, Claire Marie Sundquist, daughter Theresa Sundquist of Davison, MI, and parents Frank and Hellen Sundquist (Griswold).
Funeral arrangements are in the hands of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home of Dewitt, Michigan and the services are private.
