William (Bill) Shriber, 91, passed into heaven on November 12, 2021. He leaves his wife of 65 years, June (Paulat) Shriber; son, Brian (Valerie) Shriber; daughter Beth (Gary) Bowen; grandchildren, Amanda (Alex) Pummell, Andrew Shriber, Amy (Ian) Kelbly ,Nicole (Dustin) Kodger, Danielle (Jared) Farmer; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Marge (Edwin) Tyler.
Born to Glenn and Nellie Shriber, in Akron, OH on April 2, 1930. Bill graduated from Uniontown High School in 1948. He worked as a Machinist for Atlas Mold & Machine when he was drafted into the U. S. Army, and later worked for Morse Controls in Hudson as a tool and die maker for 33 years before retiring. Bill and June married and raised their family in Kent, where they lived for 38 years. They were members of The Chapel.
Bill loved to work with his hands, using his God-given abilities to help many people and organization with his skills. At home, Bill crafted many items out of wood and metal. Bill also enjoyed golfing, and bowling.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Sat., Dec. 11 at Carrollton Baptist Temple. Pastor Craig Bowen will officiate. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Donations may be made in Bill's memory to Samaritan's Purse or The USO. Arrangements entrusted to the Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton 330-452-4041.
