William Leo Parrent, Jr. was called home to the Lord April 15, 2022. He was born August 2, 1945 to William Leo Parrent Sr. and Doris Blankenship Parrent in Altus, Oklahoma. He grew up in Altus and Martha, Oklahoma. He joined the Navy and served in Vietnam. He married Nora Shelby and the two were blessed with four sons, who eventually married and produced nine grandchildren. Leo graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Leo is survived by his many blessings including: Greg Parrent and ex-wife Stephanie and their children Jack, Austin, Zoe and Ethan Parrent; David and Amy Parrent and their children Luke and Lauren Parrent; Ryan and Julie Parrent and their children Nathan and Hailey Parrent; Randy and Andrea Parrent and their child Nora Parrent. He is also survived by four brothers, Les, Steve, Sam and Jeff Parrent; two sisters, Judi Sander and Darlene White; as well as many loving friends and extended family.
Leo was a hard worker. He was a man who loved his family. He was a Christian and a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church and later Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Leo was was a loving, kind, generous, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service with a luncheon immediately afterward will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11am at Lord of Life Lutheran Church located at 3601 W. 15th St, Plano, TX 75075.
