William R. Mazzeo, 78, of Pittsfield, MA, died January 12, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center due to COVID-19.
Born in Pittsfield on November 23, 1942 to Patsy and Sadie Krzynowek Mazzeo, he was educated in local schools and attended Barber school.
Mr. Mazzeo was a barber, starting at Dom's Barber Shop, and then was self-employed as a barber for many years.
He was communicant of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where he was in the choir for many years. William was born with perfect pitch and a beautiful tenor singing voice.
Survivors include his longtime partner of 27 years, Molly Ricchi, with whom he resided and five brothers, Ronald, James, Jack, Thomas and Richard Mazzeo. As well as several nieces and nephews, and his best friends, Donald Maselli and David Fetherston. He was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Mazzeo.
Funeral Notice: Graveside services will be held, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet inside the gate at 1:15 p.m. Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA is handling the arrangements.
