William Mark Lindsey, 52, of Ripley, went to be with The Lord on Friday, December 30, 2022.
Mark was born in Memphis, TN on July 12, 1970 to Malcolm and Dorothy Lindsey. He graduated from Falkner High School in 1988 and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College. He later went on to pursue what became a 32-year career at Oil-Dri Corporation. He was a diligent worker and trusted leader among his team, earning the 'We Care' achievement for teamwork in 2022. He was described as one who "shepherded all the core values and had the biggest heart among the members of our team."
Mark was a devoted husband and had a deep love for his children and grandchildren, who referred to him as "Paw". He was an avid golfer and, as some would say, a master of the grill. He and his wife enjoyed the outdoors and traveling to national parks and beaches. He also shared a common passion for Gospel music with his late father.
Mark was a genuine, humble man with a heart for the Lord. He took opportunities to care for others in need and was an active member of his church at West Ripley Baptist Church.
Mark is survived by his wife, Becky; his son, Reed Lindsey; his stepsons, Braxton (Elizabeth) Coombs, Carson Coombs, and Adam (Abbey) Coombs; his grandchildren, Alexandria Coombs, Lily Coombs, Tate Coombs, and David Coombs; his sister, Stephanie Griffin (Chris); his brother, Michael Lindsey (Tasha); and Nieces and Nephews, David Lindsey, Megan Wilbanks (Nolan), Lauren Lindsey, Conner Griffin, Jackson Griffin, and Autumn Griffin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Dorothy Ruth Lindsey.
Visitation for friends will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at West Ripley Baptist Church followed by a funeral service. Pallbearers will be Chris Griffin, Connor Griffin, Jackson Griffin, David Lindsey, Ken Cooper, Jerry McLemore, Larry Richardson, Pat Salts, James Goodin, and Gary Ambrose.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to World Wide Church Planters at 300 Fowler Rd., Courtland, MS 38620.
