William Edmund Lovelace, 80, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away at his home November 30, 2022.
Born in Danville, VA on September 9, 1942, Bill was the son of the late Joe and Nellie Lovelace. He worked for many years at American Cyanamid and was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of American Legion Post 128 and St. Joan of Arc Parish. He was blessed with 34 years of sobriety and during that time was a help to many suffering alcoholics.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Florine Lovelace of Aberdeen; two daughters, Deborah DiEdoardo (Ross) of Forest Hill, and Barbara Donithan (Wayne) of Street; stepsons Eric Bowers (Amy) of Sunderland, MD, and Christopher Bowers of Bel Air; stepdaughters Kimberly Wittenburg (Ron) of Livonia, MI, Noel Budnick (Fred) of Aberdeen, and Beverly Jones (Chris McGraw) of York, PA; 24 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Bettie Jean Lovelace.
A visitation was held at Tarring Cargo Funeral Home, P.A., 333 S. Parke St., Aberdeen, MD 21001 on Sunday December 4, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 222 S. Law St., Aberdeen, MD 21001 on Monday December 5, 2022 at 10:00 am. Burial followed at Harford Memorial Gardens.
