William M Lewis passed away on Feb. 14, 2023, in Everett WA after a brief illness. William "Bill" to his friends, was born Oct. 29, 1944,in Everett WA and was the third child of Leo B Lewis and Lottie May (Hankins) Lewis. He grew up on the Sill Rd. He attended Lakewood School and graduated from Arlington High School in 1962. In 1972 he married Betty Lallemand. She was the love of his life, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage March 2022. She brought to the marriage a young daughter named Tammy and in 1974 their son William "Zachary" was born. Bill always said it turned out perfect 1 girl and 1 boy.
Early in the marriage the family moved to Twisp WA. In Twisp Bill was a hired hand for PMM Ranches. There he changed sprinklers, baled hay, and herded cattle. After a few short years in Twisp, he moved his family back to Arlington, WA to live on 5 acres. Bill worked in the woods until he retired from West Pacific Resources. Family meant the world to Bill. His daughter Tammy and son Zach, granddaughter's and great grandchildren brought him such joy. He was very close to his son -in law Glenn Orr with whom he had coffee with and talked with often. Bill had many friends.
Bill leaves behind his love Betty, daughter Tammy (Glenn) Orr of Arlington, son William Z Lewis of Redmond, granddaughter's Jennifer Orr of Seattle, Amber Johnson of Arlington, Adrianna Orr of Arlington. Great granddaughter's Ryleigh Orr, Alexis Ingram and Madyson Johnson and a great grandson Ethan Johnson. He also leaves sister's Kathryn Schultz and Donna Lewis and a brother Jerry (Kim) Lewis . A sister-in law Jacqueline Boone, nieces, Heidi (Jeremy) Hallgren, Hilary Schultz, Jill (Mike) Lewis and nephews Leo (Stephanie) Lewis and Robert Boone and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo B. Lewis (1981), His mother, Lottie May Lewis (1999), his brother, David Lewis (2003). His brother, Dean Lewis (2022). A celebration of his life is scheduled for May 13th, 2023,11:00 AM at the Pioneer Hall in Arlington, WA.
