William Harold 'Hal' Langston died on Wednesday, May 12th, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Hal, a long-time Lubbock resident, attended Frenship High School, and Texas Tech University where, besides majoring in Mechanical Engineering, he met Leah, his wife of 32 years. After 10 years in Dallas, TX, Hal and Leah returned to Lubbock in 1999, where Hal worked as an Engineer for Texas Tech University until his recent retirement. Hal was an Eagle Scout, and enjoyed several hobbies, including woodturning and Ham Radio operating. He is preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his wife, Leah, as well as many other family and friends who will miss him greatly. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Rev. Randy Scrivener officiating.
