He was the cherished brother of Joanne (Late), Robert (Late), Judith, Penny, James, and Eugene. William Spent 30 years as an Inspector for Briggs and Stratton.
A celebration of William Lang's life will be held Thursday August 11th, 2022. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 6802 W. Forest Home Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53220. Services will start at 5 p.m. with dinner and fellowship to follow.
William loved his faith, family, and fishing. He found a way to always intertwine all three. His passion for Christ was visible by his daily interactions with all those he touched. He lived a Christian life that would show others what it would be to witness your faith and be a fisher of men. Second only to his faith, William's family was his passion. He loved to spend time at his family cabin in Eagle River, entertaining his wife, four kids, and nine grandkids. While at the cabin he made sure to teach the skill of fishing to all who stayed. Ironically, while most thought they were venturing out to catch the big fish, William would use that time to enforce and nurture the other two pillars of his life, faith and family.
William spent his whole adult life engaged with the Muskellunge Club of Wisconsin. Last year the Club and his family honored his commitment to faith, family, and fishing by creating the Bill Lang's Kids Camp. The event is a one day fishing outing to teach kids the in's and out's of fishing and to take them out on the water. In lieu of gifts or flowers the family is asking that a donation be sent to The Bill Lang Kids Camp fund to ensure the event continues and that new anglers will be nurtured for generations to come.
Any donations can be made directly to the family and will be donated in William's name on his behalf. Electronic donations can be made via the following Go fund me link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/bill-lang-kids-camp? utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
