Kirke was a lifetime resident of Shreveport, LA except for a brief stint in Arkansas, where he and his wife Amanda spent most of their time missing Louisiana! As a child, Kirke attended Agnew Town and Country Day School where he began making many of his lifelong friends. He then attended and graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1978. Kirke received his bachelor's degree from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1982, where he also served as treasurer for the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Kirke was an avid outdoorsman. He was a straight shooter, both at the range and in life. He loved spending time with family and friends at his camp, the "Who Dat Hunting Club," which he founded in 1984. Kirke was a wonderful friend to all who knew him. His passion became introducing young people to hunting and shooting, and he never missed an opportunity to teach a youngster, then put them on their first hunt. Kirke was a generous soul who brought joy to so many.
Kirke was preceded in death by his parents, William Meredith Johnson Goff and Betty Gilbert Goff; two nephews, Samuel Nathan Smith and Kolbe William Smith; and his best canine buddies, Snoopy, Rowdy, Frisbee, and Sophie.
