William A. Kauffman , 84 Oct 11, 1936 - Feb 17, 2021 William A. Kauffman, born October 11, 1936, passed away peacefully at his home on February 17, 2021. he was the only son of the late Norman B. Kauffman and Lillian L. Kauffman of Hagerstown.
He is survived by Lucille, his wife of 63 years; Son, William N. Kauffman and his fianc? Omayma Montasser; Grandchildren, Eric L. Kauffman and Kristen N. Flook and husband Derek both of Hagerstown, MD; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School, class of 1954, and was a life long member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
Bill worked for his father's company at the Kauffman Mfg. and Supply Company for 17 years before starting his own business, William A. Kauffman & Son, which he ran with his wife and son until his health began to decline.
He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time at his mountain cabin in Pennsylvania, where he liked to feed the wildlife during the winter months. He liked to hunt as well, but being on the mountain with friends and family was more important to him than bagging a trophy buck or turkey.
He was a member of the Western MD. Sportsman's Club, South Mountain Rod & Gun Club, Williamsport Redman, and was a Life member and former Board of Director of the North American Rod and Gun Club, where he volunteered his time and abilities to many club projects over the years.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD with the Rev. Margaret Clemons officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
