William "Willie" Gruetzmacher

William "Bill/Willie" Gruetzmacher, passed away on the 19th of December 2022, in Houston, Texas. He was born on the 5th of September 1932, in Corpus Christi, Texas to William and Katy Grueztmacher. Known to his friends and work colleagues as "Bill", and family as "Willie", he was a loving husband and father to his wife Sybil and daughter Marcia. He was raised in Yorktown, Texas and attended and graduated from school there. Later in life he studied Business Administration at the University of Houston.
Wille was a veteran serving in the US Army, Korean Service, from 1953 to 1954 and was later employed by Dresser Industries for 31 years as a sales representative. Both Willie and Sybil were long-standing members of St. Philip's United Methodist Church in Houston where he was a member of the Sunday School Fellowship Class, United Methodist Men, and served as an usher during worship service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roy and Clifton, and sister Rosemary. In May of 2020, after 68 years of marriage, his wife Sybil passed away. He is survived by his daughter, Marcie, who took loving care of both of her parents for the last years of their lives.
A memorial service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 4th of February at St. Philip's United Methodist Church, 5501Beechnut St, in Houston.
A graveside service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 7th of February at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero, Texas.
