William Jay Gilbreth, 83, of Ojai, CA, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021, surrounded by family and caregivers. Born Oct. 30, 1937, in Denver, he graduated from San Jose State College and Harvard Law.
Bill specialized in patent litigation as a partner at Fish & Neave. He also prosecuted organized crime figures for the Justice Department and was on the legal staff of the Watergate Special Prosecution Force. Bill remained deeply devoted to public service throughout his life. Bill was an avid kayaker and art collector. Most of all, he enjoyed a good game of Texas Hold 'Em.
Bill is survived by his wife Sue; son Conway; son John, wife Erin and their children Samantha, Sophia and Joseph. He is preceded in death by brother John and survived by siblings Ann, Stephen, Marie, David, James, and their families.
