William Donald George, Jr. "Billy Don" 58, of Midland, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2021, shortly after midnight.
Billy Don was born in Guntersville, Alabama on June 6, 1962 to William Donald George, Sr. and Susie Wauline Leak Snow George. Billy graduated from Midland High School in 1980. He attended college on a music scholarship, but chose a different path to begin his career in the injection moulding industry. He built a successful career in this field that spanned over 30+ years. He began work in this field with his brother, Roger, at Moulding Specialists Inc. in Houston, Texas. He moved on from there to work for other companies including Technology Moulding Plastics, Hi-Lex Controls Inc., Textron Inc., Nacom Corp., REHAU Inc., Colson Plastics, and Novapak Plastics. After returning to Midland to be closer to his family, Billy began work in the oil and gas industry. He was able to share his technical knowledge and expertise as well as learn the business at Frac Tank Supply Co., Basic Energy Services, and Summit Casing Equipment. During this period, Billy was also able to work with his nephew, Sean, at Plas-Tech Products. His work took him and his growing family to many places?Houston, Michigan, Georgia, Dusseldorf (Germany), Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Illinois, and then finally, back to his home in Texas. With each of these relocations, Billy met many new people and cultivated friendships that continue to this day. Though successful in his career, his three children were his greatest accomplishment and what he treasured above anything else in life.
Billy is survived by one brother - Roger Lee Snow, Sr. and wife Dawna of Spring, TX, three sisters - Donna Arlene Hafner and husband Bradley of Moreno Valley, CA, Susan Diane Tomasz and husband Gene of Farmers Branch, TX, and Pamelia Denise Inskeep of Midland, TX; sons Douglas Keith George of Arab, AL, Adam David George and wife Ali, of Tuscaloosa, AL, daughter Jessica LeighAnn Lemons and husband Brandon of Arab, AL, and grandchildren Hayden Ty Purser, Dalsten Lee Purser, Darkly Dwight Jack Lemons and Lillith Aurora Lemons all of Arab, AL; eight nephews, four nieces, nine great nephews, nine great nieces, and one great great niece. He is additionally survived by friends too numerous to name and extended family who were all very dear to him.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Wauline George, brother David Keith Snow, and great niece Samantha Snow.
It was Billy's wish to be cremated, so there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to remember the joy, laughter, joking, crazy escapades, serious discussions, sports predictions (Roll Tide), mischievous smiles, and genuine big-hearted love Billy brought to everyone who knew him.
