WILLIAM FERDINAND GAST, 91, died Saturday, October 17, at his home in Dallas. Bill was born October 22, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in chemical engineering before moving to Dallas. He retired in 1989 after a long career with Sun Oil Co. He was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. Bill enjoyed working with the church’s ministry to international students and was a member of the Tom Currie Bible Class. Bill was an avid woodworker and loved the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Marie, son Walter and his wife Karen of Dallas, daughter Susan of Dallas, son David and his wife Tannya of Coppell and their children, Jared and Brandon.
