William David Feely "Bill" of Grand Junction Colorado passed away May 2, 2025 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1953 to William S. and Barbara A. Feely in Delta Colorado.
Bill attended Mesa State College and soon began his career in management for Taco Bell restaurants in Grand Junction and California. He continued in management with Grand Junction's Interiors Etc., and Burke Construction. Although he missed his family, he very much enjoyed the work, travels, and the many unique Casitas in New Mexico and Arizona, and hotels and restaurants in the Black Hills, and the Badlands of the Dakotas.
Bill thoroughly enjoyed family time, relaxing and fishing at the family cabin on Grand Mesa. Bill had a sharp eye for design and detail, was a skilled handyman and completed many impressive home projects.
Bill was considered by all to be a gentle soul. It was well known that when he gave you his word, he kept it and that you could always count on him. He loved his family and was looking forward to retiring this year and making up all the time he missed with them due to business travel.
Bill is survived by his wife and life partner of 20 years, Lori A. Sommers, daughters Bethany Myers (Jeremy Myers), and Cassie Feely (Kass Armfield), brothers Eric Feely (Beth Feely) and Doug Feely (Bernadine Palmer), step daughter Danielle Brown (Cody Brown), and step son Chad Sommers (Kirsten Sommers). Bill has seven grandchildren: Summer and Benjamin Myer, Fisher, Cannon and Iris Brown, Kai and Wyatt Sommers.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made to HopeWest, 3090 N 12th Street, Grand Junction, Co 81506 (www.HopeWest.org).
