William Robert Burress Jr. "Bob" passed away peacefully on February 10th, 2024. Bob was born on January 13th, 1947 in North Carolina to William and Mildred Burress. They moved to WA in 1948 and made their home in Lyman, WA.
Bob graduated from SWHS and went on to marry Beverly Osborne. They had two children together before divorcing but remained friends throughout the years.
Bob started working at the cement plant in Concrete, WA. After the cement plant closed he went to work at Harrys Tire Shop in Sedro-Woolley. In 1975 Bob left for Alaska to go work on the pipeline, something he was very proud of.
Later in life Bob got into the car business. He worked hard and eventually was able to open up his own car lot. After closing his business and retiring he started to drive school buses part time for the SWSD.
Bob purchased property at Lake Tyee, a place he loved to go to get away and just relax by the fire. Bob also loved to go fishing out in his boat. He especially liked the fishing derbies when everyone was together.
Bob was a quiet, kind, gentle all around good guy who will be extremely missed.
He is survived by his son David Burress, daughter Kellie Burress both of Sedro-Woolley, WA. His granddaughter Taylor (Jake) Bellos, great granddaughter Isla Bellos all of S.W., WA. Brothers Steve Burress of S.W., WA, Jim (Ginger) Burress of Sahuarita, Arizona, nephews Austin Burress of Bellingham, WA, Greg (Kim) Burress of Conway, WA. Bryan Pinelli of S.W., WA.
