William Wallace Bryan, died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the age of 90 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, TX. Wallace was born September 29, 1930 to William Wallace and Blanche Spinks Bryan in Beaumont. Wallace graduated from Beaumont High in 1948. He married his high school sweetheart Lucille Etheredge in 1950.
He worked at Mobil Oil for 37 years, and was very active with the Local Union OCAW #4-243, and was an officer with the AFLCIO. After retirement Wallace and Lucille enjoyed traveling, they also worked the polls for many elections. Wallace was very active with Northwood Christian Church and currently attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Wallace loved his family and looked forward to spending time with his wife of 70 years, his two daughters, son and all their families.
Funeral Services were entrusted with Forest Lawn Funeral Home and will be private family services.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents William Wallace and Blanche Spinks Bryan, siblings, Curren Bryan, and Jean Serafino. Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Lucille Bryan, son, Bill Bryan (Cindy), daughters, Cindy Williams (Roland), Betty Richey (Bill). Paw Paw is survived by his grandchildren, Chris Williams, Kim Zapata (Mario), Haylee Bolton (Grady), Jennifer Foxworth (Tyler), Michelle Ullrich (Jake), Jeff Richey (Grace), Tim Richey, Kristin Clayton (Bryce), and Craig Richey (Kaitlyn), and 11 great grandchildren.
Special thanks to Best Hospice for taking care of Wallace and his family. Thank you to Caroline Blanda and Kayla Woods for all that you did for Wallace. Thank you to Vivian Simien his sitter and the rest of his sitters that took care of Wallace 24 hours a day the last 4 months. Thank you to Oak Groves Manor that took care of him his last two weeks.
