Horan McConaty - Wadsworth
William "Bill" Shea, 96, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024. He was born in Denver, Colorado, to Elizabeth E. (Stowell) and Edward E. Shea on December 18, 1927.
Bill was a very joyful person throughout his life and always saw the silver lining in every situation. He went to South High school and transferred his senior year to West High school where he met the love of his life, Mona (Craven). He worked many sales jobs which led him from Denver, CO, to Cortez, CO, and then, to Delta, CO, and finally retiring in Littleton, CO. He and Mona raised 7 kids: William P. Shea II (Debra), Mark P. Shea (Kathy), Deborah L. Shea, Penny A. Smothers (Richard), Bridgette L. Shea (Gary Brown) ,Teri S. Ahlberg (Mike), and Wendy Shea-Tamag (Allen). They have 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Bill was an excellent father and family was always at the forefront of his life. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Mona. Also, preceding him in death are his son, Willy Shea and daughter, Debbie Shea.
In honor of Bill, a Rosary will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (5303 E. County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122). A memorial service will be held the following day, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., also at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home. A Committal will immediately follow the service at Horan & McConaty Rocky Mountain Memorial Park.
