Bill and Audriene Ockington are reunited and together again. William J. ("Bill") Ockington, passed away November 11, 2020 peacefully in his home and Anna "Audriene" Ockington (nee Thompson), passed away peacefully November 19, 2020, at Hampton Manor of Belleview, FL, Memory Care Unit. They had a wonderful and joyful life together, married for 50 years and in a true love fashion, they left together.
William J. ("Bill") Ockington, was the loving husband of the late Audriene Ockington. He is survived by his devoted son James (April) Ockington, brother Tom Ockington (late Dina) and loved nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dr. James and Margaret Ockington, son Scott Ockington, grandson Michael Ockington, and siblings Kay Vithous (late David) and Joan Hoke (late Don). He was born and raised near Cleveland, Ohio. Bill was a graduate of The Ohio State University and a graduate of Cleveland Marshall Law School of the Cleveland State University. As an Attorney-at-Law, Bill had an office in Cleveland, Pepper Pike and then Aurora, Ohio.
Anna Audriene Ockington, was the loving wife of the late William J. Ockington. She is survived by devoted son James (April) Ockington, siblings Betty Bertolasio (Daniel), Robert (Anne) Thompson and loved nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Helen Thompson, son Scott Ockington, grandson Michael Ockington, and a brother H. Samuel Thompson (late Maryanne Nowak). Audriene was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, raised in Hickory Township, Pennsylvania and was a banker in Sharon, Pennsylvania and Cleveland, Ohio.
Audriene and Bill lived in Hudson and Aurora, Ohio until moving to The Villages, FL in 2012. Audriene and Bill dearly loved their family and many friends. They both enjoyed reading, traveling and cooking but their real passion was golfing. They both had a keen interest in politics and had been trustees in numerous Associations and fund-raising events. Audriene and Bill were members of The Hudson Country Club in Hudson, Ohio and spent many years boating on Aurora Lake in Aurora, Ohio.
Due to the current health and safety restrictions, no service will be held at this time.
