William "Bill" Charles Laser, grew up in Hinsdale, Il. He graduated from Northwestern University with an Engineering degree after being in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He was married to the love of his life, Carlyn Meiners Laser, for over 62 years. He helped build and then ran Cartriseal Company and then worked in many capacities at the Rexnord Corporation. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt, and skeet shoot. He adored playing golf and enjoyed playing chess with his grandson. He was fascinated by astronomy, gem faceting, and photography. He served on the Lake Forest School Board for many years. He is survived by his daughters Julie Laser and Carla Laser, his grandchildren Ariana Castro and Orion Castro, his great grandson Aidan Castro and his sister Sue Omi.
