William "Mike" Anquillare, 67, passed away on Dec. 12, 2020 after a courageous 30-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Mike was born in Akron, Ohio, to the late William and Margie (Sanders) Anquillare and lived in the Cuyahoga Falls area all of his life. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mike served alongside his longtime best friend Joe Mullens in the US Navy on the USS Holland during the Vietnam War. He was a classically trained Chef, studying at Johnson & Wales University in RI, and then working for highly regarded local restaurants including Starboard Tack and Triple Crown. He was an avid Cleveland Browns football fan and enjoyed many games with his cousin, Dale Leach. Mike also loved cooking for his large Italian family, especially around the holidays and listening to music.
Mike's family wishes to thank his devoted aunt, Rita Cargill, who was a constant source of support with his day-to-day activities for many years. And special thanks to his earthly angels, Angelisa and Becky with Interim Healthcare who lovingly tended to him while he battled MS over the past decade.
Mike is survived by his children, Heather (John) Anquillare-Lugo, Vincent Anquillare and Joseph (Julie) Anquillare; grandchildren, Alexandria, Anthony, Ruby, Cameron and Cooper; sister, Christy (John) Anquillare Barnes; nephews, John and Andrew; and many other loving family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial and committal services were privately held, and his final resting place is at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org/donate.
