On December 12, 2021 we said goodbye to a very special man. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bill was born on August 27, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Evelyn and Willard Langhenry. He grew up in the Chicago area and was proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Southern Methodist University (1959) where he studied business and enjoyed tennis and golf. While at SMU he met the "Love of his Life", Lois Peterson, and they were married in June of 1959.
Bill had a long and distinguished career with General Motors Corporation in Chicago where he was a was first involved with the Buick and then was an executive with the Cadillac Division. After retiring from GM, he owned car dealerships in Florida. After moving to Texas, he became a consultant to automobile dealers. Bill was a longtime member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church and a wonderful Christian man who was devoted to his family.
He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and golfer. He could often be seen practicing his swing on the lawns of Greenway Parks where he was affectionately known as the "Pro of Greenway Parks". He also adored his Black Labrador, Amber.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 63 years, Lois Peterson Langhenry, son Willard Harold Langhenry, III (Nancy) and grandsons Willard IV and Nathan, daughter Lori Langhenry Foster (Brad) and grandson Hunter Foster and granddaughter Laurel Foster, all of Dallas. Bill will truly be missed, and we are comforted to know we will all be reunited in Christ one day.
