Gable, SC...Willa "Sis" Vennetta Means Wilkinson, age 86, beloved wife of the late Donald Ray Wilkinson, died on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Faith Healthcare Center in Florence, SC.
Born on September 17, 1934 in Wellsville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry Oliver Means and Willa Vennetta Staten Means. Mrs. Wilkinson attended the Wellsville Schools. She was employed as a housekeeper in many businesses and private homes. She also retired from Little Forest Medical Center in Akron, OH. After relocating to South Carolina, she worked for many years as a home caregiver and housekeeper. She was a devoted and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking, baking, and gardening. She was a member of the Evangelical Church of United Brethren in Wellsville, OH.
Surviving are: two sons, Donald C. Wilkinson and his wife Thess of Gable, SC, and Wayne A. Wilkinson of Sumter; two daughters, Cheryl A. Good and her husband Richard of Akron, OH and Diana L. Campbell and her husband Robert of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother, James O. Means and his wife Martha of Salem, OH; nine grandchildren, Wayne Wilkinson, Wade Alan Wilkinson, Jason Wilkinson, Bryan Wilkinson, Richard Good, Hannah Campbell, Christopher Wilkinson, Nicki Crouser, and Toni Good; twenty six great grandchildren and three great great children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son; four sisters, Leona "Lee" Mandich, Deborah Jones, Betty Hurst, and Betty Newell; and three brothers, Paul Means, Floyd "Sonny" Means, and William "Bill" Means.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will be held in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 12:00 noon.
Pallbearers will be Jason C. Wilkinson, Christopher Wilkinson, Richard Good, Wayne Wilkinson, Wade Alan Wilkinson, and Bryan Wilkinson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
