Wilfred "Will" F. Kisser, 93, of Southington, widower of Lydia (Bobroske) Kisser, passed away on September 21, 2022 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. Born on September 28, 1928, in Bristol, CT, he was the son of the late Frederick and Pauline (Bilo) Kisser. Wilfred owned and operated Baker Shoes in Southington for over forty years before retiring in 1998. In 1998, Will was named Business Person of the Year by the Southington Chamber of Commerce, which is the Chamber's highest honor. He served our country honorably as a Sargent in the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Will was a lifelong, active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church here in Bristol. He led the Adult Fellowship at the church for over 20 years and served on many other boards. He was a member of the Southington Jaycees, the Forestville Fish and Game Club, and the Friendship Force. Wilfred leaves his son David Kisser of Southington, CT; his daughter Lynn Kisser of Nokomis, FL; his brother Milton Kisser of Bristol, CT, and several nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. Will was predeceased by his sister Agnes Bohn. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, at 12pm at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 10am-12pm at the funeral home.
