Wilfred Charles Bernier, 85, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 3, 1938 to the late Joseph Bernier and Antoinette (Cote) Bernier.
Wilfred lived most of his life in Epping, NH. He was one of 12 children. From 1955-1959, he honorably served in the US Navy and also served in the US Marine Reserves from 1960-1962. While in the Navy he was stationed in Mobile Alabama on the U.S.S. Randolph CVA-15, where he met and married the love of his life Helen (Woods) Bernier. They moved back to Epping and raised their family there. After working as a machinist at Kingston Warren, Wilfred started his own business "Bill's Better Buys" from which he retired.
Wilfred loved and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed working outside in the yard and going out for dinner and ice cream with his daughters. He will be deeply missed by all.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Helen (Woods) Bernier; and siblings, Roland Bernier, Noella Proulx, and Leo Bernier; and is survived by his daughters, JoAnn Nash and her husband Dean, and Diane Dean and her fianc? Todd Moore; siblings, Rita Dubreuil, Pearl Lavigne, Theresa Yergeau, Doris Deshaies, Cecile Moreau, Leona Payeur, Jeannette Hauschel, and Marcell Bernier; grandchildren Aimee Nash-Reinagel and husband Eric, Jason Nash and fianc? Alisha Gallagher, Rachel Holt and husband Rogan, Jennifer and James Dean; great grandchildren, Tristan Nash, Rowan, Emerson, and Quincy Reinagel, and Rhett Holt.
Private Burial with Military Honors will be held at a later date. Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH is assisting the family.
