In Loving Memory of Wilda Marie Jones (Busby)
The world lost a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Wilda Marie Jones, age 88, died at her home, in the arms of loved ones, fulfilling her final wishes. She was born in Sweetwater, Texas on November 27, 1932 to Redden and Erma Busby. She lived a full and beautiful life, traveling the world with her beloved Bill, during their 63 years of marriage. She devoted all her energy, strength, love, into being a homemaker, and exceptional mother, for 69 years. She leaves behind, a legacy of love, acceptance, and forgiveness. A legacy her family will forever remember. Wilda enjoyed the arts, coloring, painting, ceramics, reading, and creating many beautiful items on her sewing machine. She was a member of Spirit of Unity Church, formerly Plymouth Park Church of Christ. She resided in Irving, Texas for 69 years, living the last 44 years in the home she and bill built for their family. Left to cherish and remember her legacy are: sons Adam Jones and wife Noori of Kansas City, Mo; and Jesse Jones and wife Keri of Irving, Tx; Daughter Karen and husband Chuck of Kileen, Tx; Grandchildren: Kacy Keplinger and husband Justin, US Army; Mallory Praught and husband Ben of Aubrey, Tx; Navid Jones of Kanas City, Mo; Jordan Roth of Garland, Tx; Tanner Jones of Lewisville, Tx; Grant Jones of Garland, Tx; Dylan Jones of Dallas, Tx; Great-Grandchildren: Jackson Keplinger, Aiden Roth, Sebastian Benson, Hudson Praught, and Harrison Praught. She is also survived by special family friends: Shelia Phillips of Mineola, Tx; Angela Schmitz of Dallas, Tx; Audrey Roth of Princeton, Tx; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by husband of 63 years, William T. Jones; sisters: Dorothy, Lucille, Wanda; Brother Brannon Jones; Son-In-Law: Tom Benson, and Grandson: Trevor Benson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wilda's name, to Hope Cottage or Scottish Rite Hospital. She will be laid to rest at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sweetwater, Texas.
