On Wednesday, July 21, 2021 Wilburn Ira "WI" Lucas, loving father, grandfather and friend, passed away at the age of 94. WI was born on his family farm on November 20, 1926 in Richards, TX to William Fine and Winnie Lucas. He went on to work as a Supervisor in the Ball Valve Division of Cameron Iron Works in Houston TX for 35 years, retiring to Huntsville, TX in 1985. WI enjoyed traveling the country in his RV, was an avid outdoorsman, loving to spend time at the deer lease and bird hunting with his cousins, son in laws and grandsons, and was also an avid domino player, winning countless tournaments and trophies with the club members from his church and various domino clubs throughout the Huntsville community. He was known for his quick wit, generosity and being a wonderful friend. WI was also a founding member of Westway Baptist Church. WI was preceded in death by his parents WF and Winnie Lucas, his wife Joyce Lucas and sons Randal and Rodney. He is survived by his daughters Eraina Lothringer, Rhonda Parks and Karen Hale, grandchildren Rona Wallace, Ty Lothringer, Jamie Parks and Michael Parks, great-grandchildren Ashleigh Toney, James Jenkins III, Jessica Jenkins, Michael Mingus and Lauren Lothringer and great-great grandsons, Brett Toney and Caden Toney.
