Wesley "Pat" Patterson affectionately known as Pop-Pop, passed away peacefully into heaven from his home on November 25, 2020. He was born in Combine, Texas on September 1,1930 to Florence and Clifton Patterson. He was married to his loving wife Ann Dietz Patterson for 61 years before her death in 2012. Wesley and Ann built their lives and forever home in Crandall, Texas raising a strong Christian family, dedicated to one another, their many friends, and most importantly to God.
Pop-Pop was a friend to everyone who met him and had the gift of making each person feel special. He was a true blessing to the community in all the roles he served throughout his lifetime. Wesley was a dedicated former president of Crandall ISD School Board, founding member of First State Bank of Crandall, Co-founder of First Community Church, and dedicated volunteer to various projects and committees for the growth of Crandall. He was honored as the Grand Marshall and received the Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also a former director and lifetime officer of The Dallas Executive Association.
Wesley was a giving loyal friend to all in need, never met a stranger, and had the personality of a successful salesman where he devoted his entire career to the tire industry. He loved to work! He loved the land, horses, cattle, sports, and his family. He is a lifelong patriarch in Crandall and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 28th at First Community Church of Crandall, Texas.
