Werner was a strong, kind, loving and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. He was an outdoor enthusiast and introduced his family to a lifelong love of Mother Nature and his true passion of kayaking. Kayaking truly runs in the blood of his family and his legacy will live on through Werner Paddles.
Werner was predeceased by his wife Martha, and he leaves behind his four children, Werner Jr and wife Tracie, Erich and his wife Denise, Bruce and his wife Laurie, and Melinda and her partner Jeff. Werner also leaves behind his longtime companion,
Nan Bezzo. Werner also leaves behind his loving sister, Lisbeth, sister-in-law, Priscilla along with numerous relatives who reside in Switzerland.
One of the true highlights of Wernerundefineds life was that of his grandchildren. Derich, Nataya, Schyler, and Hailey. He also had the extreme pleasure to spend time with his great grandchildren Breckham, Eliana, Brinley, Kyleia, Liliana, and Scarlett. Currently there are more great grandchildren on the way. He was an exemplar grandfather in showing his grandchildren life lessons and the joy of travel and camping. From camping trips to numerous beaches to share the beauty even in the
small things like walking on the shoreline to adventures in Switzerland. In recent years, he even took Breckham kayaking with him.
