Our heavenly father called His earthly angel Wendy Anne McClintock home on March 10, 2021 after a hard fought battle with breast cancer. Wendy was born December 15, 1967 to Theodore and Donna McClintock. She was a 1989 graduate of North Star high school. After graduation, Wendy went on to work at the Somerset county workshop, which she retired from after 25+ years. She was very involved in the Somerset County Special Olympics throughout her life. She enjoyed competing and participating in many events but especially bocce, swimming and bowling. After retirement, Wendy volunteered with meals on wheels and the Saint Francis caring and sharing Center, and spent many happy days with her friends at the Ganister Station. She regularly attended services at Somerset Grace Brethren church. Wendy had a smile for everyone she met. She never forgot a face and everyone was her "buddy".
Even though Wendy was born with Down Syndrome, it never prevented her from living life to the fullest. She was one of the happiest people. She loved to ride bikes ,drive her car (golf cart), color, paint, take her buddy Prince for walks, play Uno and bingo. She also loved camping, trips to the beach, casinos (ching ching) and especially shopping. Wendy is survived by her parents Theodore and Donna (Shawley) McClintock of Jennerstown, sister and special brother-in-law Ava and Shannon (Boub) Charlton of Friedens, sister Amy McClintock of Jennerstown, nieces Ivy and Eden McClintock, Cassie and Katelyn Charlton. Also many uncles, aunts and cousins.
