Wendell Dwight Unger, 69, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly December 5, 2020 at home. He was born on July 2, 1951 in Martinsburg, West Virginia to Wendell and Janet (Wilson) Unger. He was a 1969 graduate of Waynesboro High School and was active in FFA. He enjoyed working on automobiles and hunting. He loved living on the farm and he loved his cats. His various jobs over the years was autobody repair and mechanic, welding, farming, and construction.
He is survived by his sister, LaJana Lee (wife of John) Fahnestock of St. Thomas and a brother, Robert M. Unger of Hagerstown, MD. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial services will be held at a later date. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., has been entrusted with conducting the services. The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that memorial donations be sent to The Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
