Wayne Laurance Yale

Wayne Laurance Yale, age 84 of Seymour, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 12, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Middlefield, New York and raised in Milford, New York. He served 4 years in the US Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd Class and retired from CSX Transportation as an Accountant after 32 years. He had a passion for wood-working, oil painting and loved to play his guitars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelbert and Viola Yale, sister, Janet Twomey, brothers-in-law, Larry Thompson and John Twomey and niece, Cathy Crain. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Yale, son, Duane (Debbie) Yale and daughter, Patti (Mark) LaBello; sisters Linda (Doug) Czerkies and Doris Thompson. Granddaughters', Kimberly (Matt) Perlingiero, Samantha (Tyler) Delgado, Grandson, Christopher (Katie) LaBello, great grandchildren, Vincent Delgado, Emmarie Delgado and Liam LaBello as well as several nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to thank Covenant Hospice Nurse, Julie and Pastor Tom for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association. Services will be held at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 10 AM Monday, September 23, 2024 at 2200 East Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN.
